The World of Technology is one of five Czech science centres. In education, we use STEAM principles, creative learning, and support critical thinking. We prepare programmes for children from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, clubs for gifted children, and summer day camps. We conduct lessons in classrooms, laboratories, and exhibitions to make learning a real experience.

Job Description

  • Currently, we are looking for a head of education who will lead the teaching team and contribute to the further direction of the educational activities of the World of Technology. Do you have experience in leading people, a close relationship with education, and a desire to develop programmes for schools and the public? Then we might be looking for you. What will be your main role? lead, motivate, and develop the team of educators, set annual goals, and support their professional growth; coordinate the activities of the teaching team and educational programmes for schools and the public; plan team capacities and maintain attendance records and hours worked by external educators on DPP and DPČ; address situations related to teaching school groups, including ensuring substitute personnel; manage and evaluate educational projects, including monitoring schedules and budgets; participate in the evaluation of educational activities and implemented projects; collaborate with colleagues across the organization, partners, clients, and grant providers; assist in preparing materials and offers, promoting educational programmes, and organizing educational events;

Who Are We Looking For?

  • a person who has experience in leading or coordinating a team; can motivate, develop, and create a collaborative work environment; can plan, set priorities, and take responsibility for assigned tasks; has a relationship with education, working with schools, or popularizing science; communicates independently, professionally, and confidently; has at least a secondary education with a school-leaving certificate; higher education is an advantage; has experience in teaching, preparing educational programmes, or organizing events;
