The video projections and light design are based on Mucha's paintings, and the project is created in collaboration with the Mucha Foundation and the Moravský Krumlov Castle, where the Slavic Epic is exhibited.
Multifunctional Aula Gong
The performance will take place on Friday, 4 December 2026, in the multifunctional aula Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. Gong was created by converting a gas holder from 1922–1924, which stored 50,000 m³ of purified blast furnace gas until 1998. The reconstruction was designed by architect Josef Pleskot, and the aula was opened in 2012. The main hall has 1509 seats and, in addition to concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and social events are held at Gong. On the ground floor, you will find the Dolní Vítkovice Information Centre and the Gong Gallery.
You can combine your concert visit with a walk around the Dolní Vítkovice area, a former steelworks that has been a national cultural monument since 2002. Tickets are sold by the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava in its advance sale.
