Musicals Upside Down

Musicals Upside Down features a concert by a live band playing well-known hits like you've never heard them before. Leading Czech singers and musical actors Josef Vágner, Jan Kopečný and Petr Ryšavý sing hits not only from traditional musicals such as Les Misérables, Cleopatra, Angelica, The Three Musketeers, but also from Czech hit-musicals.

The program includes the biggest hits of Waldemar Matuška, Václav Neckář, the band Lucie, Janek Ledecký, Karel Gott, Michal David, Helena Vondráčková, Lucie Bílá and others.

The concert is interspersed with funny stories from the backstage of the theatre and the Czech music scene. Musicals Upside Down traditionally sells out theatres across the Czech Republic. And we must not forget their sold-out performance at Lucerna in Prague.

Multifunctional Hall Gong

The concert will take place on Saturday, 28 November 2026, in the multifunctional hall Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. Gong was created by converting a gas holder from 1922–1924, which stored 50,000 m³ of purified blast furnace gas until 1998. The reconstruction was designed by architect Josef Pleskot and the hall was opened in 2012. The large hall has 1509 seats and besides concerts, Gong hosts conferences, exhibitions and social events. On the ground floor, you will find the Dolní Vítkovice Information Centre and the Gong Gallery. Tickets are sold by an external pre-sale service.
