Multifunctional hall Gong
Gong was created by converting a gas holder from 1922–1924, which stored 50,000 m³ of purified blast furnace gas until 1998. The reconstruction was designed by architect Josef Pleskot, and the hall was opened on 1 May 2012. The large hall has 1,509 seats and, in addition to concerts and performances, Gong hosts conferences, congresses, and exhibitions. In 2013, the building received the Building of the Year award at the EXPO REAL fair in Munich. On the ground floor, you will find the Dolní Vítkovice Information Centre and the Gong Gallery.
