For the report card to the World of Technology
The school year is successfully behind you, and we know that every student deserves a proper reward! Come and enjoy a well-deserved relaxation after months of learning. Check out the science show, try virtual reality, visit our cinema, and have something tasty to eat. Simply kick off the summer holidays in the best possible way.
On the 26th to 28th June, we have prepared a special event for all children. Just present your school report at the reception, and you can enter the World of Technology (except for the Children's World) and U6 for a symbolic 1 CZK.
To ensure a pleasant visit for everyone, there is a restriction that one adult can accompany a maximum of 3 children for whom this discounted price can be applied.
Where you can go
The Great World of Technology opened in September 2014 in a building designed by architect Josef Pleskot. Behind its mirrored facade, which reflects the blast furnaces and gas holder, there are four permanent interactive exhibitions: Children's World, World of Science and Discoveries, World of Civilization, and World of Nature.
The Little World of Technology U6 is located in the former VI. Energy Central, completed in 1938. Visitors can climb a walkway to a platform above the original giant blowers weighing 900 tons, and the exhibition inspired by the works of Jules Verne offers interactive exhibits.
Come and enjoy days full of science, technology, and fun, and celebrate the start of the holidays in the industrial heart of Ostrava.
