The Live Career Library showed what can be done after school
The World of Technology hosted another edition of the Live Career Library on Monday, 21 September. Throughout the day, a total of 1296 visitors came, which is a fantastic number!
In our premises, 38 exhibitors from employers and schools presented themselves. Companies such as Třinec Ironworks, Ostrava Public Transport, ČSOB, Globus, and Bohemia Interactive stood alongside schools focusing on everything from gastronomy to industry. The aim was simple: to let students talk directly to people who actually do or study the job and ask them questions that cannot be found in the leaflet.
Visitors also had the opportunity to attend 8 lectures held in the Theatre of Science.
From robotics to journalism
This year's edition showcased professions in robotics, programming, and 3D printing, as well as roles in technology and design, tourism and hospitality, laboratory assistants and practical nurses, metallurgy, financial services, journalism, and automotive. Among the schools were VŠB-TUO, the Secondary Art School, AGEL Secondary Health School, and Vítkovice Secondary Industrial School. The event was open from 9:00 to 18:00, mainly for school groups in the morning and for parents with children in the afternoon.
The Live Career Library took place in the Great World of Technology in Dolní Vítkovice back in January 2026, so the September edition followed up on its first event of the year.
We thank all exhibitors, schools, and visitors and look forward to the next edition!
