Description – Galerie Gong
The new Gong Gallery was opened on 8 March 2022. It was created by expanding the artistic scope of the Milan Dobeš Museum and is part of the educational complex offered by Dolní oblast Vítkovice. Its task is to introduce visitors to visual art not only through standard gallery forms but mainly through entertaining activities that open the world of art even to those who find it difficult to approach in the usual way. Legends of the Czech and world visual arts will present themselves to the visitors of the Gong Gallery from different angles and will be closer to them than in other galleries. The Gong Gallery approaches art simply differently. Its location in the heart of an architectural gem, the Multifunctional Aula Gong, directly encourages an approach to art based on the principles of Education Art.

Light – Tribute to Milan Dobeš
A guided tour about the transformation of a decaying steel city into a modern educational, cultural, and social centre. During the tour, we will look at both the original and revitalised parts of the Dolní Vítkovice complex. We will dive into the history of industrial architecture of the 19th century and introduce you to names that have influenced Ostrava's architecture not only in the past but also in the present. You will learn what brownfields are, why exposed brick is a suitable material for building industrial objects, and how to turn a warehouse into an Agricultural Museum.
