The Gong Gallery is part of the educational complex offered by Dolní Vítkovice. Its aim is to introduce visitors to the artistic creations of personalities from both Czech and world visual arts.

Educational Program Geometry in Motion

Join us as we explore the world of optical illusions and tricks! The educational program takes place in the inspiring environment of the gallery and offers a unique opportunity to combine fun with learning.

What will we experience?

• We will discover how contrasts, lines, and perspective work.
• We will explore the secrets of moving illusions and games with shapes.
• We will draw inspiration from the artistic movement of op-art and its connection to the world of design.

Guided Tour Architecture DOV

The guided tour focuses on the transformation of a decaying steel city into a modern educational, cultural, and social centre. During the tour, we will look at both the original and revitalised parts of the Dolní Vítkovice complex. We will dive into the history of industrial architecture of the 19th century and introduce you to names that have influenced Ostrava's architecture not only in the past but also in the present. You will learn what brownfields are, why raw brick is a suitable material for building industrial objects, and how to turn a warehouse into an Agricultural Museum.

Admission fee: 120 CZK/student, free for accompanying teachers
