Academy of Talented and Gifted Children

Welcome to the academy

The capacity for the new school year 2026/27 is full.

Come and explore the world of science in a fun and practical way! In the research club, children will become little scientists — they will experiment, observe, ask questions, and seek answers.

Practical experiments will be intertwined with visits to the exhibitions of the Great World of Technology, where children will verify scientific principles in practice.

The club encourages curiosity, independent thinking, collaboration, and the joy of discovery.

When	Meetings will take place every Thursday from 16:00 to 17:50. We start on 24th September 2026 and the last session will be on 27th May 2027.

The aim of the project is systematic year-round work with talented children, pupils, and students, focusing on the independent and individual development of children, and collaboration with educators and coordinators of gifted students from Ostrava schools. The project's activities build on previous periods, are updated and innovated to allow students to develop their talents and gifts beyond the school curriculum. Another goal of the project is to implement experiential and research activities that enrich the extracurricular education of children and students using modern technologies, thus creating a unique, high-quality publicly accessible modern educational institution and modernizing the teaching spaces to meet modern trends and enable meaningful leisure time and individual development for the talented.

Thanks to the FUTUROVA 2026 project, it is possible to attend the Journey to the Academy completely free of charge.
