Rules for Photography/Filming in DOV
Rules for photography and filming in the Dolní Vítkovice area, which is a national cultural monument. You will learn when you need written permission, how to request the use of drones or production equipment, what safety guidelines apply, and how to share footage.
Welcome to the Dolní Vítkovice area – a unique industrial space that is a protected national cultural monument (NCM) and a cultural monument (CM). To ensure a safe and smooth process for photography and filming, please adhere to the following guidelines:
Permissions and Registration
- Commercial, production, or staged photography/filming (e.g., advertisements, music videos, product photography, weddings, fashion, etc.) in both indoor and outdoor settings requires prior written permission, which is chargeable. Requests should be sent to office@dolnivitkovice.cz at least 7 working days before the planned date.
- Non-commercial hobby photography/filming with equipment or a team of people requires prior written permission. Requests should be sent to marketing@dolnivitkovice.cz at least 7 working days before the planned date.
- Photography/filming for personal, non-commercial purposes (e.g., tourist photos) is allowed in both outdoor and indoor settings without registration, provided that the rules below are followed and with respect for the privacy of other visitors.
- If the event organizer prohibits photography/filming or imposes other measures, this takes precedence over the general rules of the area.
Safety
- Move only in publicly accessible areas of the site. Entry into closed or technical areas without the accompaniment of staff is prohibited.
- Follow all safety instructions, signage, and warnings.
- When photographing, ensure that you do not violate the privacy of other visitors. Do not capture individuals without their consent.
- Do not manipulate technical equipment, installations, or historical elements.
Equipment and Technology
- The use of drones is only permitted after prior approval and in accordance with applicable legislation (UCL). It is necessary to provide proof of training completion and proof of liability insurance for damages caused by the operation of aircraft (drone). Requests should be sent to marketing@dolnivitkovice.cz at least 7 working days before the planned date.
- Tripods, lighting equipment, and larger production devices may only be used after agreement with the area.
- We care about the protection of cultural heritage – it is prohibited to lean equipment against structures, pipes, panels, and other historical elements.
Recording and Public Sharing
- In case of publishing footage from the area, we would appreciate a mention or tagging. Facebook, Instagram
- Records must not be presented in a way that would damage the reputation of the area, the cultural value of the site, or be contrary to good morals.
- Unauthorized use of photographs, videos, or transmission or reproduction of logos or protected trademarks is prohibited.
The visitor acknowledges that the Dolní Vítkovice objects and adjacent areas are monitored by industrial cameras and recordings are made in accordance with legal regulations regarding personal data protection and internal regulations of Dolní Vítkovice. Recordings may be provided to the Police of the Czech Republic and other authorities investigating criminal offenses or misdemeanors or other delicts, or civil matters.
