Clubs in the World of Technology
At the Great World of Technology in Dolní Vítkovice, we organise year-round clubs for curious children. They take place once a week in the afternoon during the school year and do not occur during holidays and public holidays.
Journey to the Academy
The Journey to the Academy programme consists of four clubs called Worlds:
- World for the Smallest (3–6 years) – artistic activities, thematic aids, and free play, children attend the lesson together with their parents.
- World of Robots (8–13 years) – programming Ozobot robots, building robots from Lego, virtual reality, and basics of block programming.
- World of Creativity (10–15 years) – working with wood, beadwork, digital painting, making a lamp, and basics of animation.
- World of 3D Printing (10–15 years) – from creating a 3D model to the actual printing and safe operation of the printer.
Academy for Talented and Gifted Children is a research club for children aged 9 to 15 years. Young scientists experiment, observe, and verify their findings in the exhibitions of the Great World of Technology.
Participation in the Worlds and the Academy is free of charge thanks to the FUTUROVA 2026 project. Capacity for the school year 2026/27 is already full.
Health Worker
From January 2027, we will open the Health Worker club for children aged 10 to 15 years. In a playful way, they will learn how to call the emergency number 155, treat injuries, stop bleeding, and work with an AED defibrillator. The course is supported by the statutory city of Ostrava.
