Adam Plachetka, Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers bring you HEAVEN ON EARTH, singing immortal songs by Messrs Ježek + Voskovec + Werich for your enjoyment.
It is known that Adam Plachetka has recently enjoyed crossing the boundaries of the classical music world and venturing into musical areas yet unexplored by him. Many have surely noticed his musical theatre or operetta projects.
Thus, his restless spirit drives him once again towards new adventures and back into the kingdom of light-footed muses. This time, he turns his attention to the repertoire of the Liberated Theatre. Enchanted by the melodies of Jaroslav Ježek and the witty, clever lyrics of Voskovec and Werich, he invited Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers to collaborate. Thus, a concert show is created, in which both artists, accompanied by a top-notch orchestra specializing in jazz, swing, and dance music of the interwar period, will present Ježek's songs in all their genre diversity, so typical of the composer – from distinctive jazz and swing echoes (Three Guards, Aesop and the Beetle), through originally conceived blues (Hat in the Bush, Dark Blue World) and lyrical love songs (Dawn, When She Smiled), to brilliant, witty parodies (Dance to the Movement, Love Betrayed or A Child Cries in Poříčí).
