Earth Day at the World of Technology: Discover the World of Insects Up Close

How do pollinators see the world? What can small insects do? And how can each of us help nature – even in our own gardens? Come celebrate Earth Day at the World of Technology and discover the fascinating world of insects through experiences, creativity, knowledge, and games. A program awaits you for both children and adults that will show you nature from a completely new perspective.

A Program Full of Discovery

You will see the world through the eyes of pollinators, explore the details of insects under a magnifying glass, or create your own insect watering station. You will also learn how to create a nature-friendly garden – it only takes a few small changes. There will also be the making of badges and a photo point.

Guided Tours of the Rooftop Garden

Take a look at the unique rooftop garden in the industrial setting of Dolní Vítkovice. During a short guided tour, you will learn how it was created, what its design is, and why it surprisingly has a lot in common with a natural garden. You will find out that natural gardens are not complicated – on the contrary. Just a few right elements can turn any garden into a friendly place for insects and other creatures. Tours take place at: 11:00, 14:00, and 16:00

Research Backpacks (New)

Try independent exploration of the garden with new research backpacks full of equipment. These backpacks will have their premiere at this event and will subsequently be part of the permanent offer.
