We cordially invite you to the exhibition of photographs by Valdemar Bednarz titled Obscene Extreme, at the FUTUREUM museum. About the exhibition Can anything still shock us today? What are the boundaries of what we consider extreme, and is there anything obscene in today's society? These are questions we can ask ourselves when looking at the photographs of Valdemar Bednarz, as the title of the exhibition suggests. At the same time, we can approach the photographs analytically – as a report on a specific subculture of people who enjoy heavy music, tattoos, freedom, and perhaps even pain. However, Bednarz's photographs primarily capture playfulness, which, when combined with pain, suffering, or even death, creates a remarkable form of irony – the photographer's eye is also ironic, connecting hardness with fragility, strength with helplessness, dirt with cleanliness, and even when we are in hell, no one looks unhappy. If we can look at the extreme and obscene photographs long enough, tenderness and a smile will emerge. And then we can ask ourselves again the questions that first came to mind. The ticket price is 50 CZK. You can find the opening hours of the exhibition HERE. The exhibition will run from 10 December 2025 to 15 March 2026. Warning: the exhibition may contain obscene and extreme photographs.
