FUTURE café

FUTURE café is a café in the Dolní Vítkovice area where you can take a moment to relax with a cup of coffee. We prepare popular espresso, cappuccino, and other specialties from the Italian coffee Café Reserva. For those avoiding caffeine, there are decaffeinated options available, and we also offer desserts to accompany your coffee.

You can stop by during your walk around the area, before or after a tour. Coffee and a sweet treat are perfect after visiting the blast furnace, the World of Technology, or an exhibition, but also serve as a short break between stops.

FUTURE Store

Right next to the café, you will find the FUTURE Store. It offers a selected range of products displayed in showcases made using upcycling methods, meaning from materials that have been given a second life. You can combine shopping here with sitting down for coffee and take home a little something from Dolní Vítkovice.

In the area of a national cultural monument

Dolní Vítkovice is a former industrial complex in Ostrava, where iron was produced until 1998. The Hlubina mine, blast furnaces, and the coking plant of Vítkovice Ironworks were declared a national cultural monument in 2002 and became part of the European cultural heritage in 2008. Today, the area offers tours of Blast Furnace No. 1 with Bolt Tower, the Great World of Technology, the Small World of Technology U6, the multifunctional hall Gong, and also Futureum in the former coal tipper and mill, which serves as a creative center and exhibition space.
