We invite you to a guided tour dedicated to the life and work of Helena Salichová. This artist and ethnographer devoted her work primarily to Silesia and its traditions. She focused mainly on graphic art, with her work often reflecting social themes and folk culture. After World War II, she initiated the project We Are Building Silesia, which aimed to support the recovery of the war-damaged region. Her illustrative and literary work contributed to the preservation of Silesian fairy tales and customs. During the tour, you will become acquainted with her artistic legacy. We look forward to your participation!
The exhibition Professor and Student. Max Švabinský and Helena Salichová will be guided by experts on Salichová's work from the Chagall Art Centre. Immerse yourself in the work of an artist who loved Silesia, its landscape, people, and traditions.
