THE SEVENTH EDITION OF THE ELITE TOURNAMENT VOLLEYBALL WORLD BEACH PRO TOUR RETURNS TO THE UNIQUE COMPLEX IN DOLNÍ VÍTKOVICE. The World Series of Beach Volleyball will return to the industrial complex, where coal was mined and raw iron was produced, at the beginning of June. For five days, Dolní Vítkovice will transform into a beach, showcasing the best men's and women's pairs in the world. The Czech Republic will once again have a strong representation led by the reigning world champions Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner. The highest category tournament ELITE 16, of which only nine are held worldwide, will feature thirty-two teams, sixteen women's pairs and sixteen men's pairs. Eleven of the best women's and men's pairs in the world according to the world rankings are guaranteed participation, with the Czech duo Perušič – Schweiner among the top spots. The twelfth pair will be nominated by the home national federation, so thanks to hosting the elite tournament in the Czech Republic, two more Czech teams will qualify directly for the top tournament. Another four teams will have to fight for their participation in the qualification, which will take place on Wednesday. Sixteen teams will again compete in the qualification, and the Czech Republic, as the host, has two wild cards to nominate two more home pairs. In addition to top-notch beach volleyball, visitors can expect a festival atmosphere in the fan zone, which is free to enter. For more information, click HERE.
