Mining Day at Landek

Join us to celebrate mining tradition and discover Landek from various perspectives. A rich program awaits for both children and adults – from unique tours to fun activities and the nature of Landek.

Mine Rescuer – Diver Meet with the diver of the Ostrava mine rescue team, Dalibor Tekiel, who personally participated in the Orlík operation. Included is the MiniROVER II mini-submarine from the permanent exhibition of mine rescue at the Mining Museum at Landek.

“With Grandpa to the Mine” A shortened guided tour of the tunnels focused on the work of miners in a quiz format.

Duration of the tour: approx. 30 minutes in the mine | Groups: max. 20 people
After the tour: pushing a mining cart against the clock, the game “guess the tool” (by touch in a bag) and finally a miner's snack.
The ticket includes a free ride on the mine train.

Landek Educational Trail A guided walk with a guide: history of mining, geological characteristics of the area, information about the Petřkovice Venus find, fauna and flora of Landek. The route ends at the lookout tower with a view.
