The Ostrava branch of the National Agricultural Museum offers exhibitions dedicated to food and agricultural machinery. The third theme of the museum is Ostrava and, in a broader sense, the region of Northern Moravia and Czech Silesia. It presents regional agricultural and food traditions. In the Agricultural Technology exhibition, you can see tractors, machines for processing fodder, and machines for processing grains. In the Food Depository, you will learn everything about food in an interactive way, while the Gallery of Czech Food showcases 30 interesting contemporary food items.
Let yourself be convinced that Northern Moravia and Czech Silesia are agricultural areas with a long tradition of food production and agricultural machinery production.
Museum in the Dolní Vítkovice area
The museum of food and agricultural machinery can be found in the Dolní Vítkovice area at Vítkovice 3033. The museum has its own operator, the National Agricultural Museum. The Agricultural Technology exhibition is located in the Storage Hall and in the Veronikárna, while the Gallery of Czech Food with the educational centre is on the second floor. You will also learn how a former warehouse became a museum during the guided tour Architecture of Dolní Vítkovice. The museum is involved in the Technotrasa.

In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the museum offers temporary exhibitions, such as "To the Fields – on a Motocycle" or the exhibition of Antonín Kybal's work "Natural Wealth of Czechoslovakia (1965)".
