From Polish authors of the traditional period, you can see works by Kajetan Sosnowski, Władysław Strzemiński, Henrik Berlewi, and from international authors, we present Jean Gorin, Pablo Picasso, Sophie Täuber-Arp, and many others. From contemporary Polish art, you will see works by Marcin Jasik, Anna Osiecka, Małgorzata Borek, Aleksandra Kowalczik, and other young female artists. On the border of tradition is Andrzej Nowacki, who operates not only in Poland but also in Germany and once had a studio in Ostrava at Hlubina, where he collaborated with Rafal Labijak, whose work is also featured in the new exhibition at Gallery Gong. KRIŠTOF KINTERA NEUROPOLIS The Neuropolis exhibition refers to the fascinating world of modern megacities, where technology, nature, and human existence intertwine. Krištof Kintera, one of the most prominent Czech artists of today, opens themes of technological progress, consumerism, excessive waste production, and its impact on the environment. Sculptural installations made from recycled materials, such as fluorescent lamps, used batteries, and electronic waste, create a futuristic urban landscape. Kintera gives a second chance to seemingly unnecessary items and transforms them into monumental artworks with a deeper message. 18:00–23:00 - creative workshop for young and old You can find Gallery Gong in Dolní Vítkovice in the building of the former gas holder, in today's multifunctional hall Gong.
