The Little Prince, Recital
Our interpretation is not a classic retelling of the story of The Little Prince; it is an original combination of music and words that allows the audience to indulge in their imagination and soothes the soul. The recital features the well-known actor Jan Cina, who will guide us through a magical world where everything that is important is invisible to the eye.
Together with singer Vendula Příhodová/Kateřina Bohatová, he will present original songs by Kryštof Marek accompanied by the Unique Orchestra string ensemble.
The performance is suitable for audiences of all ages.
Duration of the show: 90 min. without intermission
The recital is based on the book The Little Prince, written by the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which was first published in 1943. The story of the little prince from a distant planet is one of the most translated books in the world and has been published in hundreds of languages and dialects.
When and Where
The performance will take place on Monday, 19 October 2026 at 19:00 in the multifunctional hall Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. Tickets are sold by an external ticket agency.
Multifunctional Hall Gong
Gong was created by converting a gas holder from 1922–1924, which stored 50,000 m³ of purified blast furnace gas until 1998. The reconstruction was designed by architect Josef Pleskot, and the hall was opened on 1 May 2012. The main hall has 1,509 seats and, in addition to concerts and performances, Gong hosts conferences, congresses, and exhibitions. In 2013, the building received the Building of the Year award at the EXPO REAL fair in Munich. On the ground floor, you will find the Dolní Vítkovice Information Centre and the Gong Gallery.
