The event/tour has been cancelled by the organiser. www.carodejuvucen.eu This autumn, a unique event combining a film screening, a symphony orchestra concert, and live performances by top actors will come to life across the country. The original live accompaniment to the cult classic The Sorcerer's Apprentice by director Karel Zeman will be provided by the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jan Kučera, along with prominent Czech actors David Švehlík and Karel Dobrý, who will lend their unmistakable voices to the characters of Krabat and his Master in the live performance of the film. The captivating atmosphere will be enhanced by a children's choir and all sound effects performed live on stage. Immerse yourself in the unforgettable battle, the story of a boy who, on the brink of adulthood, is drawn to dark forces and fascinated by them until he realizes they can destroy him. The retelling of the Lusatian Sorbian legend of Krabat from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries from Upper Lusatia in Silesia is presented in an unparalleled way by the master of Czech cinema Karel Zeman, based on the book by Liberec native Otfried Preussler. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is about the forces of the heart that cannot be changed and that govern our feelings and actions, which can be a source of hatred and love, anger, envy, or joy. They can be used for good or evil (or white and black magic, as it was once said). In this eternal struggle, the path to liberation from the snares of evil is only through strong will and faith in love.
