Dear visitors, we bring you the Christmas opening hours. We look forward to seeing you even during the holidays.
Applicable for the World of Technology, Children's World, U6, Gong Gallery, Bolt Tower, tours of the national cultural monument, and the Landek Park Mining Museum.
Where to go during the holidays
- World of Technology and Children's World – a science centre opened in 2014 with four permanent exhibitions, a laboratory, workshops, a 3D cinema, and the Theatre of Science.
- Small World of Technology U6 – an interactive exhibition in the former VI. energy central from 1938, inspired by the works and visions of Jules Verne.
- Gong Gallery – a gallery of visual arts in the entrance hall of the Gong auditorium, a former gas holder.
- Bolt Tower – an observation tower with a café at the top of Blast Furnace No. 1, standing 77.7 meters tall.
- National Cultural Monument Tours – guided tours of the area, which was declared a national cultural monument in 2002.
- Landek Park Mining Museum – a museum in Ostrava-Petřkovice in the area of the Anselm Mine with a forty-meter winding tower and 250 meters of tunnels.
You can find specific times for each day in the table in the image. The holiday days can be used for a family trip: children will enjoy the interactive exhibitions of the World of Technology and U6, from Bolt Tower you can overlook Ostrava, and in Landek Park, you can descend into the underground of the former mine using the original winding cage.
