Looking Back at 2025
Every Saturday throughout 2025, popular creative workshops were held at the World of Technology, primarily aimed at families with children. These workshops became a natural part of the visitor programme and have long been among the most visited accompanying activities. Over the year, more than 1350 visitors participated, taking home not only their own unique creations but also new practical skills.
Thanks to the prepared materials, inspiring space, and expert guidance, participants could try a variety of crafts. They learned, for example, how to hammer nails, sand wood, or work with a pyrography tool. The creative workshops thus represent a unique opportunity to spend meaningful time with family while visiting the exhibits of the World of Technology – to slow down, create, and take home a small memento of the day spent together.
The programme also included special workshops focused on more complex or themed products. Parents and children could:
• learn the basics of traditional crocheting,
• learn to upcycle damaged or stained clothing into a new stylish piece,
• try stop-motion animation and create a short animated film,
• make their own wall clock,
• or design and assemble an original board game.
These special workshops were made possible thanks to financial support from the Statutory City of Ostrava as part of the Weekend Creative Workshops project for children with parents at the World of Technology in 2025.

Outlook for 2026
The creative workshops will continue in 2026, bringing new challenges, original projects, and joy from creating together. We look forward to meeting visitors of all ages who want to explore the world of imagination and skills in a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere.
Come enjoy meaningful time with your loved ones and discover the magic of creation!
