Let's introduce children to handicrafts in today's fast-paced digital age!
In our creative workshop "Crochet with Grandma", we will show you the very basics of crocheting that both children and adults can master. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, we will learn how to hold the yarn and hook correctly, how to create the first stitches and basic patterns, and most importantly – how to truly enjoy the crafting process.
You will take home a handmade crocheted bracelet, which will not only be a beautiful keepsake but also a great start for further crafting at home. The workshop is ideal for parents with children – together you will experience patience, concentration, and the joy of handicrafts, which in today's world brings much-needed slowing down and peace.
When and Where
The creative workshop takes place on Saturday, 29th November 2025, in the Great World of Technology in Lower Vítkovice. Parents, grandparents, and other adults can come with their children. You will learn to crochet together, so you can enjoy the workshop as a pair.
The ticket includes entry for one adult and one child.
Great World of Technology
The Great World of Technology opened on 26th September 2014 in the Lower Vítkovice area, the former ironworks, which are now a national cultural monument. In four permanent exhibitions – Children's World, World of Civilization, World of Science and Discoveries, and World of Nature – it presents science and technology in a way that you can experience them firsthand. The building also includes a 3D cinema and the Theatre of Science.
