Landek Park Mining Museum
The event takes place on Good Friday, 3rd April 2026, at the Landek Park Mining Museum in Ostrava-Petřkovice. The museum is located on the site of the Anselm Mine, the oldest shaft in Ostrava, and its dominant feature is a forty-metre winding tower. It opened on 4th December 1993, on the feast day of Saint Barbara, the patron saint of miners, and today it is the largest mining museum in the Czech Republic.
The mining train, which children can ride for free with their ticket, is an original set from the 1960s. In addition to this, you will find about 250 metres of tunnels underground, chain lockers, and an exhibition of mining rescue services in the area. Landek Park is located near the confluence of the Odra and Ostravice rivers at the foot of Landek Hill, which is a national natural monument.
