The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at VŠB-TUO has opened an exhibition of Formula Student Ostrava in the Great World of Technology. It features two single-seaters from the workshops of VŠB-TUO. "We will show visitors a racing simulator that was developed from our first prototype. Another exhibited piece is Vector 04, the fourth formula produced at VŠB-TUO, with which our students competed in the Formula SAE Italy and FS Czech races in 2018," explains the exhibition Robert Čep, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The exhibition also includes two interactive exhibits where both young and old visitors to the Great World of Technology can try, for example, changing tires against the clock or using an oil pan to see how engine oil behaves when cornering. The preparation of the exhibition was, as admits the captain of the Formula Student Ostrava team Samuel Cienciala, very complicated. "The pandemic affected our preparations. We couldn't get to our workshop for a long time, and the construction of the exhibition was therefore greatly prolonged. We are very glad that the exhibits will finally be visible after two years of intensive work," adds the student. The Formula Student Ostrava exhibition can be found on the 2nd floor of the World of Technology. It is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. (PHOTO: VŠB-TUO)
