Mining exhibition with descent into the mine in the original hoisting cage
Visitors will experience the feelings of a miner from the moment they arrive at the shaft, from changing in historical chain lockers, through authentic descent in the hoisting cage into the mine, to the miner's journey to the relevant mining workplace. Near the shaft building, there is also the opportunity to try the journey to distant workplaces in the mine by riding in original carts (so-called "manšafťáks") designed for transporting people in the mine. The mining exhibition has been newly enriched with the history of mining transport from the time of horse usage. The exhibition is titled "Horse Ferdinand and other four-legged miners".
Exhibition of mining rescue
It presents a unique collection of breathing apparatus, capturing its development from 1883 to the present. Experienced mining rescuers will introduce visitors to the technologies and experiences during rescue operations underground. The mining rescue service had to be an integral part of every shaft.
Surface exhibition of mining drilling and extraction technology
In close proximity to the central parking lot, there is a free exhibition of heavy mining and extraction technology (extraction and drilling combines, drilling cars, loaders, and mining locomotives).
Settlement of mammoth hunters – exhibition of historical settlement
Located near the central parking lot. It presents a demonstration of a historical dwelling with a fireplace from the time of the first settlement of Landek 23,000 years ago. Evidence of this is the discovery of the Petřkovice (Landeck) Venus in the 1950s. Since coal seams come to the surface at Landek, the first use of coal was recorded here. Prehistoric people probably shoveled surrounding soil into the fireplace and discovered that it burns.
