The Mining Museum at Landek in Ostrava-Petřkovice was established as a reminder of the hard work of miners. Especially in earlier times, families feared daily that their "man" would not return home. Mining is part of many families for several generations in the Ostrava region and its surroundings. This year's Miners' Day at the Mining Museum Landek Park will be commemorated with a special experiential program Made in 90 minutes (Sunday 8th September) and a new feature in the form of guided tours of Landek (Sunday 8th September), meeting at the museum ticket office. Where we will stop: Petřkovice Venus, Landek lookout tower, Landek castle, and unique coal seam outcrops!!! We will also be at the blind arm of the Odra River and show the spoil heap of the Urx Mine. Geology, flora, and fauna. It will be really great! On Monday 9th September 2024, the mining train will take you for free. Your visit will please our guys, who are no longer heading to the shift at the mine, but to you at Landek. Godspeed!
Tickets can be purchased both online and at the museum ticket office. Information at tel. 602 532 414, Mining Museum - Pod Landekem 64, 725 29 Ostrava-Petřkovice.
