How did the literally turbulent development of electricity production unfold throughout the 20th century? Come and listen to the popular science lecture "Energy Through Time," led by speaker Ing. et Ing. Marek Kovář, a PhD student at ČVUT and a graduate of VŠE in Prague, a member of Honors Academia, Mensa Czech Republic, and Alumni Scientiae Bohemicae. The Staircase of the Century The Staircase of the Century is an inseparable part of our exhibitions. It guides visitors from one floor to another and enriches their temporal knowledge about significant milestones in our region over the last 100 years in a gentle manner. For this interesting walk, you will receive a brochure that will help you piece together several stories about how and on what Ostrava and the surrounding region grew. Game: How Well Do You Know Dolní Vítkovice? A card game called Timeline will test your knowledge about the restoration of Dolní Vítkovice in a fun way. Do you know, for example, when Dolní Vítkovice opened to the public? Are you familiar with the history of the transformation of the famous Vítkovice Ironworks over the last 20 years? Our instructor will guide you through this fun game, and the designated station for this game will be prepared for you in the entrance hall of the Great World of Technology.
