Colours of Ostrava in Dolní Vítkovice

Colours of Ostrava is a multi-genre music festival, with its first edition held in 2002 in the centre of Ostrava. Since 2012, the festival has taken place in the Dolní Vítkovice area, where stages are set among the blast furnaces, gas holders, and other buildings of the former steelworks.

If you are planning a trip during these days, you can head to the Landek Park Mining Museum in Ostrava-Petřkovice, which operates as usual. The museum is located at the foot of Landek Hill in the area of the former Anselm Mine, featuring a forty-metre winding tower and an underground exhibition that recalls coal mining in the Ostrava region. The attractions in Dolní Vítkovice will reopen on Monday, 20th July 2026.
