About Dolní Vítkovice
Dolní Vítkovice is a former industrial complex in Ostrava, where coal was mined and raw iron was produced from 1828 to 1998. Since 2002, the area has been a national cultural monument and today serves as an educational, cultural, and social centre. Here you will find the Great World of Technology, the Small World of Technology U6, the multifunctional hall Gong with the Gong Gallery, and Blast Furnace No. 1 with the observation extension Bolt Tower. The Landek Park Mining Museum is also part of Dolní Vítkovice.
