Join us in the world of wooden robots! In this creative workshop program for younger school children, we combine a fun story with playful hands-on work. Young builders will first prepare all the necessary parts while practicing simple counting and sorting by shapes and sizes. They will try sanding wood, hammering nails, and threading beads onto wire. In the end, they will complete their robot according to their own imagination and take it home as a unique memento of their workshop adventure.

The educational programme introduces students to the personality and work of Helena Salichová in close relation to Silesia, which inspired her throughout her life. They will learn about her life story, artistic career, and characteristic artistic style. Emphasis is placed on how the Silesian landscape, folk culture, traditions, and everyday life were reflected in her graphic works. The programme naturally connects visual education with regional history and develops interdisciplinary relationships.

Discover geometry in motion with us and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of op-art and kinetic art in the inspiring environment of the gallery! Together we will find out how color contrasts, lines, and perspective work and how movement actually arises in an image.
Through the analysis of optical phenomena, we will practice logical thinking and reflect on how art enters our everyday lives. The program takes place in the form of interactive teaching at the Gong Gallery.

Step into a world where science meets art! In the Crystal Resin programme, students will discover the magic of UV resin, which transforms from a liquid to a solid transparent material similar to glass under UV light.

They will learn how polymerization works, why UV light triggers a chemical reaction, and they will practically try it out by making their own magnet or keychain.

Step into the world of colourful transformations and chemical mysteries! Students will become detectives, exploring common substances such as milk, soap, toothpaste, or egg yolk at four stations: in the kitchen, bathroom, fairground, and laboratory. Using natural indicators like red cabbage juice or turmeric, they will uncover what is acidic, alkaline, or neutral, while revealing clues leading to the "hidden message".

They will see how acids affect teeth or how bases neutralise odours.

A playful story, colourful experiments, and practical examples connect science with everyday life, awakening curiosity and joy of discovery in children.

Why do leaves change colour? What does a squirrel do in winter? Where do the birds return from? In this playful and experiential programme, students will explore the secrets of nature throughout the year. They will become little researchers, observing seeds under a magnifying glass, discovering hidden pigments in leaves, playing animal survival strategy games, and learning how and when to help wildlife. Additionally, everyone will create their own "portfolio of seasons" to take home. Weather permitting, we will also explore the STC rooftop garden. We will play, engage in research, and nature will tell us the most fascinating stories!

Join us on a journey to a world where money comes to life! In the program, participants become little managers of their assets, earning game banknotes, shopping in a fictional store, planning, saving, and spending. A highlight is the experiment with UV light, where they uncover counterfeit banknotes and discover that money has its secrets. In model life situations, they consider what is necessary, what is a wish, and when it pays to save. At the end, they will try shopping in a prepared store and simply record how much they spent and how much they have left. The entire program culminates in making their own piggy bank, which they take home as a reminder that managing money can be done wisely and responsibly.

The program focuses on teaching basic weaving and knotting techniques using paracord on a special wooden loom. Students will engage in creating a bracelet that can be not only a fashion accessory but also a useful survival tool, thanks to its versatility.

The program supports the development of manual skills and creativity among participants and provides practical skills for emergencies. Assistance from a teacher is needed when teaching paracord bracelets, especially with younger children.

Will you recognize what grows in our fields, what the peanut plant looks like or the cinnamon tree? What is behind the journey of food to the plate? How to distinguish healthy food from unhealthy and what are those small letters on the packaging? Do you know how to shop and treat food responsibly?

On the Trail of Our Breakfast is an interactive educational program that opens doors to sustainability, environmental education, and also a healthy lifestyle. Its aim is to motivate children to think about the origins of food, their eating habits, and their impact on the planet.

The program is part of the FUTUROva project.

By controlling the Blue-bot, students gain insights into what algorithms are and how they are implemented as programs in digital devices. Students will learn that programs run according to precise and unambiguous instructions. They will learn to create and debug simple programs themselves and will also use logical reasoning to predict the behaviour of simple programs.

There are countless techniques through which we can express our thoughts and feelings on paper. But let's not be flat! This time, let's test the boundaries of space with (un)ordinary paper.

We will try Japanese Origami, test our geometry knowledge with pop-up cards, and fold a 3D model of our dream house. All we need is to know the right technique.

Students will practice fine motor skills and learn to apply geometry in practical tasks. They will take home not only experiences and new skills but also a bunch of paper creations.

The class will also receive paper templates of techniques that they can continue with in art class at school or at home in their free time.

An educational program for primary and secondary school students that opens the way to understanding the lives of people with disabilities at the Great World of Technology in Ostrava.

In the first part, children move through the interactive exhibition Living Normally, where they can experience firsthand what it is like to live without sight or hearing, to navigate in a wheelchair, or to face mental illness. The second part consists of an open discussion with a person with a disability, providing an authentic story, space for questions, and a safe way to break down stereotypes. The program develops empathy, respect, and social skills among students.

Do you long for adventure in space? I need to rescue the lost robot Eight and send her back into orbit. Will you help me?

We will try to reach for the stars! So get ready for launch and may you soar!

In this programme, participants will first watch an animated film, then they will try to assemble a rocket just like Elon and also visit the Space exhibition, where they will take a close look at planet Earth and the Moon in the Space exhibition.

In this programme, we will not learn to swim, but rather explore one of the most important phenomena on this planet, water.

Children do not necessarily need to be experts on Archimedes' principle to start pondering why large and heavy ships float.

Through simple experiments, children will verify how the interplay of water and the surrounding environment works. Just roll up your sleeves!

Everyone knows that when they get injured, they bleed "red". But is that really the case for everyone? Do kings and queens have blue blood or the same as us? And what about a worm, what kind of blood does it have? Can we also prepare blood in the laboratory?

We will answer all these questions, and many more, during a research-oriented educational program.

Among other things, we will also try working with a microscope and literally feel red blood cells.

The Ozobot robot can navigate through a maze or ? You will discover all this and much more during the Robot Ozobot II programme.

You do not need to have attended the Robot Ozobot educational programme, as we will teach you the basics of block programming in a playful way. In a series of tasks, you will use iPads to try out how the robot moves, how to navigate it, and you will have space for your own creativity.

The aim of the educational programme is to understand the basic principles of programming and to gain practical skills in handling the next-generation Ozobot EVO robot.

The basics of block programming will be useful to you, but they are not a requirement.

Sewing is one of the basic craft skills, whether it's just a broken button or a complete piece of clothing. In our time, tailoring is being pushed aside by the modernization of textile production. However, the needle and thread still have much to offer.

Children will learn about the development of tailoring from the needle to the sewing machine. Using educational tools, they will try out basic stitches.

The result will be a handmade pincushion in the shape of a sun, which will help children with sewing and motivate them in further creativity.

The teacher or group leader is always actively involved in the craft activities.

Do we see all the living things around us, or is there something alive that we cannot see?

Together we will embark on a journey into the world of microorganisms, get to know them, and discover how they live. We will explain basic laboratory techniques and learn how to work with a microscope.

Finally, we will attempt to bring one of the smallest organisms in the world to life!

The entire program takes place in the laboratory.

Anyone can paint. However, when we replace tempera and brush with wool and a felting needle, a new creative space full of possibilities opens up.

We will talk about the origin of animal fibers and their use in the textile industry. You will learn the technique of hand felting small products.

And with a little patience, you will take home a handmade picture that can be used as a patch on clothing or framed on a table.

The teacher, as well as the group companion, is always actively involved in the crafts.

Have you ever thought about how challenging it is to assemble a human skeleton? Are all our bones the same or is each one completely different? Why does anyone even study bones and what can they learn from them?

After completing the programme, you will know the answers to all these questions.

The educational program is primarily focused on working with the original and unique MoyToy construction kit.

From this kit, children will assemble simple and progressively more complex toys, from which they will subsequently create a city.

In the created city, they can play with the toys they have made.

In addition to manual dexterity and the skill of assembling according to a plan, they will also refresh their basic knowledge of traffic signs and road rules.

Note: currently available only for schools in Ostrava.

Working with wood is still very modern and attractive.

Knowing how to work with it – sanding, measuring, assembling – is a fundamental skill that children will learn in our program.

From the prepared semi-finished product, they will create a wooden bird feeder that they can take home and decorate their window or garden!

Discover the magic of a drop of water. Water is a small miracle that surrounds us everywhere. But what secrets does a drop of water hold and how does it look under a microscope? During the program, students will dive into the world of water, try simple experiments, and find out what water can do. Together, they will discover how ice turns into water, water into steam, and how rain is born from steam. Melting, evaporation, condensation, and the formation of precipitation will become not just theory, but fun experiments. Students will experience firsthand the processes that make the water cycle in nature work and learn why water is crucial for the life of the entire planet.

If there is any phenomenon that can connect mathematics, physics, biology, psychology, art, and the humanities, it is undoubtedly symmetry.

We do not find many things around us that are not symmetrical.

During the educational program, students will understand the principle of axial symmetry through games using mirrors, images, and their own bodies.

They will reflect and discuss why symmetrical things and shapes are more prevalent in nature and in the world of humans.

During the programme, students will playfully discover which geometric shapes are preferred by nature and which shapes are favoured by humans.

Students will discuss basic geometric shapes in the plane.

They will reflect on their differences and properties. They will create various shapes using the Geomag or Tangram construction sets.

Cities are built over many years and have a sophisticated structure.

During this program, students will take on the roles of architects and try to design a city!

Projecting a city for decades ahead requires careful consideration. Planning a city cannot be done by just one person; it requires many experts.

Children, in the roles of architects, will learn to communicate with each other and will also have the space to creatively express their ideas.

Linocut is a very impressive graphic technique that offers enormous possibilities for artistic expression.

It involves designing your own motif and carving it into linoleum. Subsequently, the students will print it on paper using a printing press.

We will explain the principle of relief printing and how to visually distinguish it from engravings and etchings. We will reflect on the connection between classical graphics, known since the medieval times, and modern computer technologies.

Give your students the opportunity to try their manual skills in our workshops and at the same time express their own aesthetic sensibility.

Chance and probability accompany our everyday lives.

Students will get acquainted with a regular die and uncover its properties.

They will learn what the probability of their success is and also that random trials exhibit certain laws and regularities.

In the exhibitions of the Great World of Technology, we will find answers to many curious scientific questions.

The program teaches children the basics of logical thinking and algorithmization. Children transform into bees and, together with their robotic friend, explore the fascinating world of bees and nectar collection.

During the program, children program the bee and complete various fun tasks so that their robotic friend can return to the hive with a rich supply of nectar. Join us and experience an adventure full of learning and fun!

A traditional and very popular educational programme will transport students to the fascinating world of historical transport means, directly in the U6 exhibition.

Students will have a unique opportunity to discover what the oldest bicycles looked like and how the first car worked.

During this adventurous journey, they will uncover the development of transport means and try driving a motorcycle, a lorry, or sit behind the wheel of a public transport bus.

What is the difference between weaving, knitting, and crocheting? How were fabrics processed, in what environment were they produced in the past, and how are fabrics made today? And what materials can be used for this? Let's take a look together into the fascinating world of the weaving craft.

The main part of the program focuses on children mastering the technique of weaving. The result of their work is a small piece of hand-woven fabric that the students take home.

A prerequisite for the smooth running of this program is knowledge of tying knots on thread.

Would you like to try out some examination techniques so that children can immerse themselves in the role of a doctor? What advice should they give to patients to stay healthy? How to take care of their bodies? We will name some body parts and train the senses that allow us to examine and perceive the patient.
