The program introduces students to the basic principles and elements of a natural garden in relation to events in the wild and encourages them to better perceive connections. Through the game "photographic eyes," they will practice attentive observation of details. During their own research activities on the STC rooftop garden, students discover how even urban spaces can be friendly to nature, mapping habitats, identifying plants, examining shelters for animals, comparing the garden environment with surrounding areas, and discussing the results. They will also be introduced to topics that are often overlooked, such as: why it is important to feed correctly, how to maintain birdhouses and feeders, and we will also discuss public space. The program demonstrates that even small changes in the environment or behavior can have a significant impact.

What is a language? Where did it come from? How are they interconnected?

The program "How many languages do you speak?" is an interactive activity that introduces children to the diversity of languages and their significance in a playful manner. Participants will learn about the origin, development, and interconnectedness of languages, their phonetics, language families, and scripts.

The program broadens children's horizons beyond school education and inspires them to take an interest in linguistics and learning new languages, while emphasizing the importance of linguistic diversity.

In addition to languages, the program will also focus on scripts, which are inseparably linked to languages.

The teaching team of the World of Technology, in collaboration with experts from various fields, has prepared an original board game describing the process of protein formation.

Join us to take a look inside the cell and understand concepts such as transcription, translation, tRNA, and DNA polymerase.

Discover the fascinating world of 3D printing! In our workshop, you will learn everything from the history and principles of this revolutionary technology to practical skills in 3D modeling.

We will teach you how to design your own models and transform them into tangible reality using modern 3D printers. The workshop is designed so that each participant can try their hand at 3D modeling and printing, step by step, with expert guidance and practical demonstrations.

The workshop takes place in two parts: first, there will be 120 minutes in a classroom with a projector or interactive whiteboard, where you will focus on theory and modeling, and then you will move to the Robolab exhibition, where you can experience 3D printing live.

The construction kits allow the assembly of two types of functional "vehicles" (a hand truck and a wood cart) in life size. During this lesson, students will create these vehicles in teams of 3–4 members. While working, they will learn to collaborate, communicate, read and understand technical documentation, and work according to instructions.

At the end of the lesson, they will test the functionality of their models themselves. After successfully testing their vehicles, they will disassemble them and carefully tidy up the individual parts in the correct places in the storage box.

This activity is not only educational but also fun and strengthens team spirit!

Visual media dominate the world, and understanding them is becoming one of the key skills necessary for developing critical thinking.

Our educational program Believe it or not focuses on developing this skill and addresses the topic of media literacy. Through interactive methods, we teach students what fake news is and how to recognize it, how to avoid falling for disinformation, manipulation, and information chaos, and how to properly analyze photographs. The program also includes the ZooM exhibition, which focuses on visual literacy and aims to develop the ability to uncover the true story and message of photographs in the media.

Can you create a simple traffic light or a bell that reacts to changes in lighting in the room? Do you want to delve deeper into the secrets of electrical components that you encounter every day? This, and much more, is what you can expect from our programme Electrical Circuits with MICRO:BIT.

Pupils and students will try out how to control simple electrical circuits using a microcontroller and block programming. At the same time, they will practically understand how its individual components work, such as resistors, diodes, potentiometers, thermistors, and resistors.

Did you know that besides your phone, tablet, or computer, many other devices can connect to the internet? How do they do it? Who do they communicate with over the internet? And how about using your newly acquired knowledge to build your own weather station or measure the noise in your surroundings? This, and much more, is what you can expect from our Internet of Things with MICRO:BIT programme.

Pupils and students will practically delve into the secrets of a special set of sensors through a microcomputer and block programming, learning how to send collected data directly to our phone via the internet. While assembling their own measuring devices, they will understand how data collection works in the 21st century.

Thanks to this fact, people discovered a new way to set things in motion in the 19th century.

In this program, students will try constructing the first electric motors and batteries, look into the future of electromobility, and experience the work of a mechanic in virtual reality (VR glasses).

Accompanying traveling lecture series of the program "Gene and Precision Therapy – A New Hope in the Treatment of Human Diseases"

The two-hour lecture cycle is intended for high school students and includes 3 popular science lectures by experts from the centre:

·         Genes - how they work and how they are regulated (Genes and Regulation of Gene Expression)

·         Gene Therapy Today and Tomorrow (Current Possibilities of Gene Therapy and Its Future Development)

All newly acquired knowledge will be immediately applied to borrowed micro:bits V2 with a wide range of sensors, which they will learn to use to the fullest.

The aim is to demonstrate the importance of blood and voluntary donation of the fluid without which no life can exist.

And most importantly, how can we defend ourselves against them? Become a chemist and discover how water affects our health and nature.

Water – seemingly ordinary liquid, yet it is never quite the same. In this program, students will transform into chemists and try their hand at working in an analytical laboratory. They will investigate different types of water – from drinking tap water to mineral, seawater, and distilled water. Using simple tests, they will find out what substances water contains and why it is important to monitor their quantities. They will discover that water is not just H₂O, but a complex mixture that can be essential for life, yet harmful in excessive amounts of certain indicators.

An experiential educational program taking place in the Living Normally exhibition at the World of Technology aims to convey the challenges of everyday life faced by people with disabilities to students. The goal is to provide visitors with an unconventional and experiential opportunity to engage with the world of people with disabilities. This includes not only physical disabilities but also mental health issues. In the interactive exhibition, students, under the guidance of a trained instructor, will experience what it is like to live with a disability. They will learn how to use a wheelchair, how to navigate using touch, and what technical aids facilitate the lives of people with various disabilities. NOT AVAILABLE FOR VISIT UNDER CITY GRANT.

Praseodymium, Vanadium, K–Potassium, Yttrium are representatives of a large group of elements that govern our world.

Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev arranged them into a universal catalog of everything in the universe,

now known as the Periodic Table of Elements.

Students will learn to navigate it through various activities and experiments,

recognizing individual groups of elements including their representatives and also learning their symbols, properties, and uses.

Robots are now everywhere around us.

Often we are not even aware of how many things they make easier for us and what all they do.

The educational program will expand students' knowledge in the field of robotics.

They will realize what a robot actually is and how it works.

They will learn where they can encounter robots.

In the practical part of the lesson, they will try to build their own robot from Lego and also attempt to program it.

They will intuitively learn the basics of algorithmization and gradually discover how to control a robot.

The energy demands of humanity are constantly increasing, and therefore it is necessary to build power plants,

which are capable of producing a large volume of energy from a small amount of fuel.

Nuclear power plants meet these requirements.

In this educational module, students will actively learn not only about the principles of how a nuclear power plant works,

but also find out what radiation is, learn how to measure it, and discover how to protect themselves against it.

Pupils will solve chemical puzzles, conduct safe chemical reactions, and analyze chemical substances. They will find themselves in the role of young alchemists almost like at the court of Emperor Rudolf II, but to solve the task, they will use modern methods of analytical chemistry in a chemical laboratory.
