  • The aim of the experiential tour of the mining exhibition is to provide visitors with an understanding of the development of Ostrava-Karviná mining from its beginnings to the present day and further until the end of the district's activities. The tour program is therefore composed of the existing tour route supplemented by elements that engage visitors in the process of building mining works and the actual extraction. The physically and technically demanding work of miners will be presented and commented on not only from the perspective of the development of the environment and conditions of mining in the OKR but primarily focusing on the reasons and motivations for choosing a physically and mentally demanding and often life-threatening profession, such as mining.
