Summer in the World of Technology and U6

Summer doesn’t have to be just about swimming pools and ice cream. In Dolní Vítkovice, a proper dose of fun, exploration, and imagination is on the way – for both young and old inquisitive minds. The World of Technology and U6 will transform into a centre of summer experiences, where everyone will find something for themselves. And don’t forget! We are open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We inform visitors that on these dates, the Great World of Technology and U6 will be closed due to ongoing festivals in the Dolní Vítkovice area:

EXPERIMENTS AT HOME …safely, playfully, and very simply! What if someone told you that physics can be experienced firsthand – and that all you need is a PET bottle, a straw, or an old tin can? Come to our physics workshops and see for yourself that science is not boring, but an adventure full of surprises! We will create, experiment, have fun, and most importantly, discover the laws of physics playfully and practically. You will learn how forces, sounds, light, or pressure work – all thanks to simple experiments that you can easily do at home.

SCIENCE SHOW Do you love fire and find lighting matches boring? Then our fire show is made just for you! Igniting fire with chemicals, flames in various colours, and a human hand that doesn’t burn after being lit? Our fire science show offers much more. You can look forward to a fascinating fire rocket created using boric acid and methyl alcohol or a handkerchief that mysteriously remains intact after being lit. If you want to ignite your passion for science, don’t hesitate to visit our fire show!

VIRTUAL REALITY Is boring reality not enough for you? Move with us into the virtual world, where even a dull day can be full of fun. With our virtual reality, you can experience what it’s like to dive to the ocean floor, conquer mountains, or compete with a robot.

3D CINEMA T-REX - Since time immemorial, dinosaurs have inspired and fascinated us. And the king of all lizards – T-Rex. Thanks to the revolution in paleontology, it’s time to revisit this iconic dinosaur in cinemas.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS Every Saturday, we look forward to welcoming both small and large visitors to our creative workshops. Come and make an original souvenir while trying out various craft techniques. Together we will practice hammering nails, uncover the secrets of optical illusions, and engage in other fun and exploratory activities. The workshops are a great opportunity to spend quality time with family and develop creativity.

BI-PLANE ŠTEFAN Traveling without luggage? With U6, no problem! Take a seat in the cockpit of the bi-plane named Štefan, put on your VR goggles, and embark on a journey around the world. One moment over the Alps, the next over the Egyptian pyramids – without turbulence and without a passport.

NEW AERONAUTICS CENTRE Dispatcher work, no problem at U6. You can try communicating with the landing module or play as a pilot and fly among asteroids like a pro.
