Summer under the Furnace is a project aimed at significantly enhancing the cultural life in Ostrava. On Saturday, July 11th, music lovers and theatre enthusiasts will have a great time.
The programme of Summer under the Furnace will kick off in the evening with a theatrical improvisation match! The so-called comedy without a script and unexpected real and absurd situations based on your prompts will be performed by the improvisational theatre All Imp starting at 5:00 PM in the space under the Bolt Tower.
After the performance, which will surely "destroy" your diaphragm, at 6:30 PM, the Ostrava band Tamala will take the stage. This mysterious word raises great expectations. What can visitors look forward to? The concert premiere in the Dolní Vítkovice area featuring singer and analog synthesizer player Pavla Gajdošíková accompanied by drummer Tomáš Rossi, guitarist Honza Drozd, and bassist Lukáš Hradil.
The highlight of the evening will be the performance of the phenomenal saxophonist Michal Žáček, who has played in bands such as Richard Müller, B-Side Band, and with Vlastimil Redl. He, along with the excellent Croatian guitarist and singer Mário Šeparović, will play beloved classics (Eric Clapton, Sting, George Harrison, Leonard Cohen, Eagles, and many more). Visitors can expect an evening full of great music, Jewish jokes, and comments from seasoned fathers' lives. All this starting at 8:00 PM.
The entire week in Dolní Vítkovice is filled with cultural or educational spirit. Every day, you can challenge your brain in the World of Technology or admire the works of significant artists at the Milan Dobeš Museum.
