The so-called director's villa served the heads of the former mines, which were part of Vítkovice Ironworks until the post-war reforms, and later OKD. The villa, now named Liběna, is located near the original Anselm Mine, the oldest shaft mine in the Ostrava region, and the mining museum. The house underwent extensive reconstruction costing over ten million crowns and will serve as apartment accommodation. The building now features 11 two to four-bed apartments ranging in size from 34 to 55.7 square meters. The accommodation connects to the entire Landek Park area, which includes a settlement from the mammoth era, a fish exhibition, a restaurant, sports facilities, a cycling path, a walking trail to the confluence of the Odra and Ostravice rivers, a mining museum, and a diverse gastronomic background. The reconstruction of the valuable villa was designed by architect Milan Šraml. The work was coordinated and managed by Vítkovice a.s., which historically owned it. The investor was Cylinders Holding, whose service part operates the accommodation capacity. [gallery link="file" columns="4" ids="6747,6748,6751,6746"]
