On Sunday 23rd October, the Little World of Technology U6 will close for more than half a year. The main reason is the renovation of the exhibitions. Originally, the closure of U6 was planned for the end of the year, but the current energy crisis has accelerated this. “We will close the Little World of Technology about two months earlier than we originally intended. We are looking for savings everywhere, just like everyone else at this time, and this opportunity presents itself. We will save on lighting and heating,” adds the director of Dolní Vítkovice, Tomáš Šiřina. After the renovation, the former energy central building will be accessible again in June 2023. The renovation of the Little World of Technology U6 is being carried out thanks to the project Post-Industrial Heritage of the Borderlands. Project registration number: CZ.11.2.45/0.0/0.0/15_003/0000370, co-financed by the EU under the Interreg V-A Czech Republic – Poland Programme.
