Eighty-three-year-old Petr Kotík unveiled his star shortly before the Thursday (21st August 2025) opening of the Ostrava Days programme. The ceremonial act included a musical performance organised by the Jantar Awards in collaboration with festival participants. Based on the ceremonial theme of the Jantar Awards, composed by Eduard Dřízga, a two-minute composition was premiered at the Bolt Tower. The piece for two trombones was written as a tribute to Petr Kotík by Jen Baker, performed by Jen Baker and William Lang.
