In front of the World of Technology, you will find a new temporary exhibition. This time it's Olympic! The Made in Czech Republic travelling exhibition aims to build on the history of the Olympic Parks that took place in Ostrava in 2016, 2018, and 2020. The exhibition panels will be on display in Dolní Vítkovice in front of the Great World of Technology until 13th February 2022. Made in Czech Republic The Czech Olympic team proudly represents its country at the Olympic Games. A country that may be small in size, but great due to the personalities who have made their mark internationally in various fields – science, industry, art, and sport. A country in the heart of Europe that has shown the world innovations such as contact lenses or the discus throw. Whether it was the brand "Made in Czechoslovakia" or "Made in Czech Republic", it has always symbolised quality, skill, and innovation abroad. The 2022 Winter Olympics are taking place in China, which dresses almost the entire world. But Czechs can be proud of personalities such as Otto Wichterle, Tomáš Baťa, or Jaroslav Heyrovský, along with other scientists and industrialists. Thus, for the first time since 1968, our athletes will have significant and most visible components of their collection made in the Czech Republic.    In China, we represent Czech nanotechnology developed at the Technical University of Liberec. Not only on the winners' podium do we represent in a sports nano jacket, nano trousers, and a Raškovka hat. Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic have left a significant mark in the world not only in science, culture, and industry but also in the Olympic movement and international sports. Jiří Stanislav Guth-Jarkovský was involved in the founding of the International Olympic Committee and co-authored the Olympic Charter, Jiří Malec transformed ski jumping with his V-style, and Jozef Sabovčík was the first figure skater to land a quadruple jump in an international competition. The exhibition is organised by the VENKU Gallery in collaboration with the Czech Olympic Academy and the Czech Olympic Committee, with full financial support from SeePOINT. We support our athletes at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing!
