Don't be a scrooge and come along! The Mining Museum at Landek invites you to shifts with a miner! With the start of the summer holidays, visitors to the Landek Park Mining Museum will be able to experience a unique program called With the Miner on Shift! For the first time, people will be able to try what soup made from a rag tasted like, what the guys had in their lunchboxes, and what rituals took place before going down the mine. Two hours of hearty mining talk, a piece of coal to take home as a souvenir, and a small mining glossary will also be part of the experience at the shaft. The first one will take place on Saturday, July 1st at 14:00. The Landek Park Mining Museum in Ostrava-Petřkovice is managed by Dolní Vítkovice, so tickets for the experience program With the Miner on Shift! can be purchased not only directly at the museum at Landek but also in advance on the website www.dolnivitkovice.cz. "We are all very much looking forward to these extraordinary shifts. It will be an unusual experience in an unusual place! This will commemorate the 70th anniversary of its discovery. Duration: 120 minutes, every Saturday at 14:00. During the Meeting of Mining Towns and Communities of the Czech Republic, there will also be special shifts on Friday, September 8th and Sunday, September 10th, 2023 (again at 14:00).
