As part of the project "FUTUROVA!!! – Find Your Place in the Future", which is implemented with financial support from the statutory city of Ostrava, a new exhibition
World of Civilisation has been created! The interactive exhibition aims to
bring the functioning of the environment closer to the general public. The World of Civilisation will showcase the impact of humans on nature and offer ways to
contribute to the sustainable state of planet Earth.
What can visitors look forward to?
Visitors can expect surprises such as the
supercomputer Anselm - a factory for processing vast amounts of data. Until recently, it was used for super-fast and complex calculations by scientists from around the world. The exhibition also features an
interactive wastewater treatment plant and many gadgets that demonstrate
how to recycle waste into useful items. The exhibition includes exhibits that explain what is known as
circular economy,
artificial intelligence, and
technologies for decarbonising our planet. Among the popular exhibits is the
power plant control room, where visitors can generate energy and subsequently light up part of the exhibition. Also noteworthy is an exhibit that guides you step by step through the entire
photosynthesis process.
The individual exhibits can be explored as is customary in the Ostrava science centre - you can touch and try them all! The exhibition also regularly hosts
educational programmes for school groups and
hydrogen training and seminars.
What topics does the exhibition cover?
- HYDROGEN IS THE FUTURE OR THE PATH TO A ZERO-EMISSION SOCIETY
- CIRCULAR ECONOMY
- ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
- THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER FOR LIFE ON EARTH
- AND MUCH MORE!
