The Neuropolis exhibition by Krištof Kintera is on display in the hall of Gong Gallery in Dolní Vítkovice. Sculptures and reliefs made from fluorescent lights, used batteries, and other discarded components form installations of an urban landscape. Admission to the exhibition is free.
The playful exhibition Imaginarium – Arena of Imagination of the Forman Brothers Theatre and Their Friends was on display at the Great World of Technology from 28 September 2024 to 23 February 2025. It offered an entry into the world behind the theatre curtain with a touch of circus and puppetry, focusing on themes of playfulness and fair play.
The Czech Tourist Club Baník Ostrava organised the 25th edition of the New Year's ascent to the lookout tower at Landek on January 1, 2025. The individual route measured 8 kilometres and the goal was at 1 PM at the lookout tower in Landek Park. A New Year's four-leaf clover 2025 was also part of the ascent for all participants.

The Harry Potter Symphonic Tribute concert took place on 5 January 2025 at 20:00 in the multifunctional hall Gong. The National Academic Symphonic Orchestra of Ukraine performed the best pieces from all Harry Potter films, including melodies never played before for fans and connoisseurs.

The vernissage of the exhibition Professor and Student: Max Švabinský and Helena Salichová took place on 7 January 2025 at 17:30 in the Gong Gallery. The exhibition connected portraits and nudes by Max Švabinský with the work of the Silesian artist, including the series Shapes Hidden in Wood and the entire series Zlín for the first time.

The ballet performance The Nutcracker by Grand Royal Classic Ballet was presented at Gong in Dolní Vítkovice on 30 January 2025 at 19:30. Set to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, it tells the story of Clara, the Nutcracker, and the Sugar Fairy on Christmas Eve in a magical winter atmosphere.

The spring holidays 2025 kicked off on Saturday, 1st February with the Scooby-Doo event at the Little World of Technology U6. From 10:00 to 18:00, visitors enjoyed games, competitions, puzzles, and a creative workshop for making dog tags. During the holidays of all districts in the region, it was also open on Monday.
The XII. Miner’s Ball took place on Saturday, 8th February 2025 at 19:00 in BrickHouse, the former baths of the Hlubina Mine. In two halls, there was a festive opening with a dance performance by the SLPT Hlubina group, a competition for Štajgr's shorts, a traditional dance number, and a game for prizes.

The Backstage exhibition at FUTUREUM showcased photographs from behind the scenes of horse racing from February 12 to May 25, 2025. The author is Roman Vondrouš, a photojournalist for ČTK and a recipient of the World Press Photo and Czech Press Photo awards. The exhibition was opened with a vernissage on February 12 at 17:00.

Valentine's Day in the clouds was celebrated from 14th to 16th February 2025 at Bolt Café on Bolt Tower, the highest café in Ostrava. Couples could enjoy a Valentine's drink or dessert, and on Friday and Saturday, the café had extended opening hours.
The Representational Ball of Matiční Gymnasium 2025 took place on Saturday, 15 February 2025, at 19:00 in the multifunctional hall Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. Tickets were sold at the gymnasium's secretariat. Further details were available in the link provided in the invitation.

The Celentano Tribute Show took place on 23rd February 2025 at Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. Maurizio, who resembles Adriano Celentano in both appearance and voice, sang the most beautiful songs from his repertoire accompanied by a live eleven-piece orchestra. It was a tribute to the Italian star.
Dan Bárta and other leading musical singers will present on 25 February 2025 in the Gong auditorium, accompanied by a rock band and the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava, a selection from the musicals Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Hair, The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Misérables. Conducted by Stanislav Vavřínek.
On Fat Thursday, 27th February 2025, a Doughnut Feast took place on the ground floor of the Gong. Pizza Chleba DOV in Dolní Vítkovice offered doughnuts from 10:00 to 20:00, providing an opportunity to enjoy some traditional comfort before the Lenten season. The organisers invited everyone who wanted to sweeten their day.

World Oral Health Day took place on Sunday, 30 March 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Gong. With free entry, it offered demonstrations of tooth brushing, practical workshops, games and stories for children, free dental check-ups for kids, and a nutrition consultancy.
The musical show The Phantom of the Opera in the original German version with Deborah Sasson and Uwe Krüger was scheduled for 1 April 2025 at 8 PM in the Multifunctional Hall Gong. According to the designation in the event title, the performance has been cancelled and did not take place.
The Yoga&Dance SPRING Festival Ostrava filled the halls of the industrial Old Baths with yoga classes, lectures, workshops, and concerts by instructors from the Czech Republic and around the world in spring 2025. The festival was intended for everyone interested in yoga, health, movement, and spirituality.
The Fajna Zahrada Ostrava gardening markets took place from 11th to 13th April 2025 at the National Agricultural Museum in Ostrava-Vítkovice. They offered flowers, seedlings, fruit trees, handmade products, natural cosmetics, and regional delicacies. There was a corner for children and a relaxation zone for adults.
On 15 April 2025, a ceremonial screening of Tomáš Galásek's film Rhapsodia Corcontica took place at the cinema of the Great World of Technology, showcasing the climbing and scientific expeditions in the Krkonoš mountains from 1979 and 2024. The audience had the opportunity to meet the creators and participants of both expeditions.
The rock opera RAGNAROCK: Vikings was performed on 16 April 2025 at Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. Inspired by Norse mythology, it brought to the stage Ragnarok – The Twilight of the Gods, into which a human enters, becoming a significant actor in the fate of the world.
The rock opera The Little Prince, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was performed on 17 April 2025 at the multifunctional hall Gong. The family show tells the story of a pilot stranded in the desert and the Little Prince, who shares tales of his journey through the universe.
On Good Friday, 18 April 2025, Easter at Landek took place at the Landek Park Mining Museum. Children searched for the lost bunny Ušáček, collected eggs at stations with tasks and riddles, and at the end received a package of treats. The ticket also included a ride on the mining train.

The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, under the direction of Stanislav Vavřinek, presented the Plus/Minus Year project featuring rock hits from 1991 in arrangements by Jan Lstibůrek on April 23, 2025, at the Gong auditorium. The singers were Hana Holišová and Michal Skořepa, with guitar played by Jiří Kučerovský.
The Lopni Beczku festival of top-fermented beers will offer dozens of beer specials from craft breweries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, along with street food, on April 25 and 26, 2025, at the National Agricultural Museum in Ostrava. Beer will be served in 0.3-litre glasses.

The creative workshop at the Great World of Technology invited families to the animation studio on 26 April 2025. Parents and their children tried filming animated movies using stop motion technique, and they could then show the resulting video at home or to friends.

The tribute band Adele Hometown Glory performed on April 29, 2025, at Gong with an evening dedicated to the soul singer Adele. During the approximately one and a half hour concert, her greatest hits were played, including the song Skyfall, accompanied by a live band with modern sound and lighting technology.
The football talk show of former representative Pavel Horváth took place on 30 April 2025 at Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. The evening was not just about football – the guests included hockey players Martin Procházka and Rostislav Olesz, as well as former football defender Marek Jankulovski.
The Witches' Dance on 30th April 2025 began at 16:00 with a gathering at Mírové náměstí, from where witches and wizards set off together to Dolní Vítkovice. There, a prepared programme awaited them, and the five most beautiful costumes received a sweet reward. The organisers invited everyone with good spirits and a mask.
The opening of the 40 Fotoclub Ostrava exhibition took place on 30 April 2025 at 5 PM at the Gong Gallery in Dolní Vítkovice. The exhibition was inaugurated by PhDr. Petr Pavliňák, with musical accompaniment provided by Petr Džetro Ritzka and Michal Žáček. The exhibition lasted until 31 May 2025.
The 40th anniversary photography exhibition of the Photography Club Ostrava at the Gong Gallery commemorated four decades of the amateur photographers' club. The opening took place on 30 April 2025 at 17:00, inaugurated by PhDr. Petr Pavliňák with musical accompaniment, and it lasted until 31 May 2025.
The Vítkovice Group and Vítkovice Cylinders have prepared a family day in Vítkovice for 1st May 2025. The program at Lipový dvůr is complemented by guided tours of the exceptionally opened gardens of Vítkovice Castle and the Vítkovice Cylinders manufacturing plant.
On May Day 2025, lovers could head to Bolt Tower and celebrate love at a height of nearly 80 metres with a view of Ostrava. The Bolt Café offered a romantic atmosphere, coffee or drinks, and as a treat, a snow kiss. Reservations could be made in advance.

The eighth edition of the wine festival Ostrava Lives Wine took place on 10 May 2025 at the National Agricultural Museum in Dolní Vítkovice. Wineries from Moravia, Spain, Austria, Moldova, and Georgia showcased their wines, along with a cultural program on two stages and wine workshops.

The celebration of 10 years since the opening of the Bolt Tower, an extension of Blast Furnace No. 1, took place on 24 May 2025. Throughout the day, the skip lift operated, at noon the birthday cake was cut, guides explained at all stations, and for the first time, the skip engine room was open for viewing.
J&T Bank Ostrava Beach Pro offered world-class beach volleyball and accompanying program in Dolní Vítkovice for the eighth time from 28 May to 1 June 2025. The best teams, including Olympic winners, arrived in Ostrava, and Czech world champions Perušič and Schweiner also showcased their skills.
Children's Day and Day Without Children took place on Saturday, 31 May 2025, at the Great World of Technology and the Small World of Technology U6. Children enjoyed a programme with animators or exhibitions with their parents, U6 transformed into a place full of mysteries and magic, and offered a 50% discount on admission.
The two-day meeting to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the death of writer Jan Balabán took place on 5th and 6th June 2025 in the Small Hall of Gong. It offered lectures, a methodological workshop, discussions with artists, readings on a tram, and the unveiling of the 'Balabán' footbridge for teachers and the public.
The exhibition at the Gong Gallery from 5 June to 19 July 2025 commemorated the writer Jan Balabán and his years at the Vítkovice enterprise. It showcased the original Magnesia Litera Award, diaries, notes, and photographs, as well as large smalt artworks by Daniel Balabán and texts by students.
The exhibition Jan Balabán – Vítkovice at Gallery Gong commemorated the writer and recipient of the Magnesia Litera Award, who worked at the Vítkovice enterprise from 1985 to 1999. The opening took place on June 5, 2025, entry was free, and the exhibition lasted until July 19. It showcased diaries and photographs.
