The Neuropolis exhibition by Krištof Kintera is on display in the hall of Gong Gallery in Dolní Vítkovice. Sculptures and reliefs made from fluorescent lights, used batteries, and other discarded components form installations of an urban landscape. Admission to the exhibition is free.
The Light Park Lights Tell transformed Dolní Vítkovice into a cosmic spectacle from 1 November to 30 December 2025. Among the blast furnaces and halls, light planets, rockets, astronauts, and flying saucers shone with half a million lights for families and adults.
The exhibition Shapes Hidden in Wood at the Gong Gallery presented for the first time the entire collection of Silesian painter and graphic artist Helena Salichová, which was created from the 1960s. It was on display from December 2025 to 15 March 2026 and concluded the Year of Helena Salichová in celebration of the 130th anniversary of her birth and the 50th anniversary of her death.

The FUTUREUM museum invites visitors to the exhibition "Obscene Extreme" featuring the photography of Valdemar Bednarz. This collection challenges perceptions of shock and obscenity in contemporary society, exploring themes of subculture, irony, and the interplay between pain and playfulness. The exhibition runs from December 10, 2025, to March 15, 2026, with tickets priced at 50 CZK.

The Traditional New Year's Ascent to Landek invites visitors to explore this significant national natural monument in Ostrava-Petřkovice. Renowned for its geological and archaeological importance, Landek features exposed coal seams and evidence of human settlement dating back to the Paleolithic era.
The concert at Gong in Dolní Vítkovice featured music from the films The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, and newly from the film The War of the Rohirrim on January 6, 2026. The orchestra played alongside the Shire choir, with the voice of Christopher Lee guiding the performance, and the melodies ranged from the sounds of Mordor to the lyrical songs of the elves.
The concert The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others took place on 6 January 2026 at Gong. The film orchestra, along with a choir, guest soloists, and a special guest, performed music from films such as Dune, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, Gladiator, Interstellar, and Bond films, complemented by selected film clips.
The concert In Honour of David Stypka from the G series took place on 7 January 2026 at Gong, five years after Stypka's untimely death. His songs were performed by the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the Bandjeez band, and singers Ewa Farna, Kateřina Marie Tichá, and Mirai Navrátil.

The project In Honour of David Stypka returned to Gong on 9 January 2026 as part of the G2 cycle, five years after Stypka's death. His songs were performed by the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and the band Bandjeez featuring singers Ewa Farna, Kateřina Marie Tichá, and Mirai Navrátil.
Ostrava hosted the Czech Republic Cyclocross Championship for the first time on 10 January 2026, with the event taking place at the Dolní Vítkovice area. Juniors, junior women, women, and men competed, with an official training session held the day before and the men's race planned for broadcast on ČT SPORT.
